Bowls: York awarded match against Featherstone

YORK IBC were awarded their EIBA Under-25s Double Rinks Championship match against Featherstone after the West Yorkshire team had two players drop out at late notice.

They now play North Cave on Sunday, November 11, at 10am.

At 12.30pm today, York start their Yetton Trophy campaign with a tough match against Selby.

At the same time, New Earswick Indoor Bowls Club in Huntington Road host the Yorkshire versus Durham seniors match.

On Saturday, the Denny Cup pits New Earswick against neighbours York. The game starts at both venues at 10am.

York ladies take on Harrogate while New Earswick ladies play Doncaster, also on Saturday at noon.

York play Ryedale in the Egham Trophy on Sunday at 10am, then at noon Thanet Road hosts Lincolnshire against Northumberland.

York ‘A’ must beat North Cave ‘B’ in order to progress into the next round of the Mason Trophy next Wedensday at 12.30pm.
