York Acorn in line for Egremont Rangers repeat

York Acorn ARLC could be on course for another showdown with National Conference League division one title rivals Egremont Rangers in the Carnegie Challenge Cup.

The promoted Blue and Golds, beaten 29-20 by Rangers in the league last Saturday, travel to Normanton Knights in the second preliminary round of the Challenge Cup this Saturday (2pm).

Victory would see them host Hunslet Old Boys in the third preliminary round, with the winners of that tie drawn at home to Widnes West Bank, Kells or Egremont in round one.

Round one ties will be held on November 17 and 18, a week after the final preliminary round.
