WALNUT Tree hit back from 3-1 down to beat Magnet 7-4 in division one of the York John Smith’s Ladies Darts League.
Sandra Bruce checked out on 122, with bull finish, as Magnet raced into the lead at home to Tree.
However, a 25-dart game from Sophie Simpson, which included a 120 and three other tons, levelled the tie going into the pairs.
Simpson and Pat Cairns gave Tree the edge but Bruce and Tracey Watkinson set up a decider, before Carol Perrett joined Babs Harrison to snatch victory.
Lynne Clapham fired an 80 checkout as Cueball ‘B’ beat their ‘A’ team 9-2. That was despite Barbara Russell winning the opener and some top scoring from ‘A’ team captain Faye Hawksby.
Lions were victors by the same margin despite a fine 91 closure by Flag’s Sharon Neads.
Marj Pearson and Lynne Willstrop combined to seal victory for Burnholme Club at Slipper.
In division two, Julie Stables, Amanda Bevan and captain Chris Lamb shot Edinburgh into a 3-0 lead over visitors Clifton, whose Carol Sykes-Waller, Anna Perrett and Michelle Brierley levelled.
The home side then cleaned up in the pairs for a 6-3 result.
Mags Formstone won the opening game for Severus ‘B’ but hosts Acomb ‘A’ responded to win 9-2.
Sammy Endersby starting their winning surge, the club side having to wait until the final game to add to the tally when it was far too late.
Despite a 24-dart leg from Burton captain Linda Embleton, Bootham Club took home an 8-3 win after a clean sweep in the pairs.
Davina Shannon hit the tons to steer Severus ‘A’ to a resounding 9-2 win over visitors Acomb ‘B’.
Shepherd ‘A’ got their division three season off to a fine start at Woolpack, Catherine Higgins starring in a 9-2 victory.
Jubilee won by the same margin against Leeman, whose Debbie Witts top-scored.
Shoulder ‘A’ versus Shoulder ‘B’ was a close encounter with ‘A’ team mother and daughter Dawn and Charlotte Scott securing victory.
