Cup of cheer as Old Malton cruise home against Riccall

Scott Preston put the home side in front on four minutes and Callum Scott headed in Saints’ second two minutes before the break.
Dean Nuttall added a third five minutes into the second half and Liam Preston struck on 70 minutes. Lee Winslow bagged five goals for York St John University in an 8-3 win at St Clement’s, who had two men sent off.
Other St John goalscorers were Josh De Silva, Rob Gumbley and Tom Hairyes.
The St Clement’s marksmen were Lewis Bootland, Kenny Sharman and Chris Rowen. York RI needed extra time to see off Pocklington 3-2 after the sides were locked at 1-1 after 90 minutes.
Darren Sellers, Mark Woodward and Carl Shepherd were on target for RI. Huntington Rovers overcame Hamilton Panthers 6-0 thanks to a brace apiece for Neil Holmes and James Edmondson, while Gary Mitchinson and Chris Dyson grabbed one each.
In round two of the York FA Saturday Junior Cup, Osbaldwick beat Stamford Bridge Reserves 5-0 with all the goals coming in the second half.
The scorers were Mike Hattee, Andrew Bilton, Tom Wheatland, Mike Whitely and Adam Kirby. Bishopthorpe United beat Bishop Wilton 2-1 courtesy of goals from Ben Jones and Joe Gardham.
Goals from Kev Taylor (2), Tom Dunning, Paul Tanton and Wes Pares helped Cliffe to a 5-1 victory over Huntington Rovers Reserves.
Strensall easily disposed of Aviva Reserves 7-0 with two goals apiece from Lee Jacobson and Danny Mason, plus a John Hetherton hat-trick. York RI Reserves were drawing 2-2 with Duncombe Park after 90 minutes but eventually came through 4-2 after extra time.
The RI marksmen were Stuart Nichol, Colin Gibson and Danny Wood, plus an own goal. A Curtis Barker hat-trick and one from Chris Tatterton eased Barmby Moor to a 4-0 win over Hemingbrough Utd Reserves.
