Bowls: Roses Liberty tilt

Yorkshire’s successful Over-60s Liberty Trophy team, who reached last season’s semi-finals, play Lancashire at Thanet Road today, starting at 12.30pm.

The Yorkshire League season starts on Saturday when York play North Cave in the first division, while the Hebden Trophy season also starts with York taking on Hornsea and New Earswick playing Scarborough.

New Earswick play Selby and York play North Cave in the North Eastern Ladies League, all starting at noon.

York meet Featherstone in the Under-25s Double Rinks competition, again at noon, on Sunday, while York ‘A’ play Featherstone in the EIBA O-60s Double Rinks next Wednesday (12.30pm start).
