IT is based in Love Lane. But there's nothing romantic about the graffiti defacing a railway bridge in York.
Councillors today hit out at the vandals who have defaced the bridge, which links Barbara Grove and Driffield Terrace, near the Mount School in Holgate.
Holgate councillor Denise Bowgett said: "I know discussions are taking place as to how this problem can be remedied on a long term basis. However, the area has been a magnet for graffiti since I became a councillor, and probably for a long time before that.
"The council needs to think of a more permanent solution to the problem, as cleaning it off only to be replaced with new graffiti days later is no good to anyone."
