THE snow caused problems for patients getting to appointments at York Hospital.

And some of those who managed to make it in complained about waiting times for outpatient clinics.

A spokeswoman for York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said: “The weather has meant that our outpatient clinics may not have run as efficiently as usual, with some patients waiting longer than expected.

“This was due to some staff taking longer to get in to work and patients arriving late or not attending due to the weather conditions. “However, all of our clinics were staffed and all patients who were able to get the hospital for their appointment were seen.”
