COULD you help York beat the freeze when winter comes?
New recruits are being sought for York’s army of snow wardens, to help keep the city’s streets and pavements clear.
City of York Council is looking for residents to volunteer to give up some of their time to clear snow when necessary. The council will give volunteers training, high visibility gear, snow clearing kit and grit.
To sign up, or for more information, phone Michal Czekajlo on 01904 551841 or email michal.czekajlo@york.gov.uk
