Saddle up for Selby bike ride

PLACES are still available for the annual Selby Bike Ride, which will take place tomorrow.

Riders can either take part in a 25-mile or 45-mile circuit, both of which leave from Barlby High School at 10am.

David Jones, former president of Selby Lions, said he was expecting about 800 people to take part in the event, which raises money for Martin House and St Leonard’s Hospices, the British Heart Foundation, Yorkshire Cancer Research, and a number of local charities.

Anyone wishing to take part should be at Barlby High School at 9am for registration.

Tickets for the 25-mile ride cost £4.50 for adults, £3.50 for under-16s, and tickets for the 45-mile ride cost £5 or £4 for under-16s.
