When “white van man” Matt Childs finishes work as a courier, he dons his overalls to tinker with his big hobby: a giant steam roller. Matt, 28, from Thorpe Willoughby found the giant in Thailand five years ago in a state of disrepair. Years later he has now restored the British-built 1930 Aveling and Porter machine to its former glory.

“It has been a long but enjoyable project, ” said Matt, who takes it to rallies and charity events each year.
