FUNDRAISERS have launched a new appeal to help raise £10,000.

A charity fashion show will be held at Scalm Park Golf Club, near Selby, to support transplant charities, on Friday, March 13.

The appeal has been supported by Sid Lamb, from the club, who underwent a heart transplant several years ago, and will see clothing provided by Forevermore Couture.

A spokesman said: “The scenes will be party and bridesmaids, prom wear, evening and long dresses, day at the races, garden parties, mother of the bride and groom, and finally some of the most wonderful bridal gowns that have been released for 2015.”

“Local models and members from Abbey Belles chorus have also offered themselves for free, including Miss York 2006 Catrina Lakin. There is live entertainment from Ant Rivers, who is one of our best local musicians and will be playing on after the event to entertain our supporters. All in all, a fabulous night not to be missed.”

Tickets cost £10 and are available from Scalm Park or Forevermore, and tables of eight cost £70.
