RESIDENTS can have their say on the growth of Selby as part of a new consultation scheme.

Selby District Council is running the consultations on PLAN Selby, which will determine how business and housing growth across the district until 2027.

Sessions will be held at Selby Town Hall on Saturday, January 10, between 10am and 2pm, where members of the public can chat to a Council officer about PLAN Selby over refreshments.

A second event will be held on Wednesday, January 14, betwen 5pm and 8pm, with policy officers available to answer questions about the scheme.

Councillor John Mackman said: "We urge communities to get involved and give their views as the policies set out in this document will affect each and every person in the district. This is the public's opportunity to have their say on the future development in the District."

A stall with information about PLAN Selby will also be at the following locations:

Profiles Gym, January 6, 4pm to 6pm

Access Selby, Market Cross, January 8 and 15, noon to 1pm

Sherburn Library, January 8, 10am to 2pm

Tadcaster Leisure Centre, January 8, 4pm to 6pm
