AN award winning young fish fryer has gone north of the border to learn more tricks of the trade.
Amy Grimwood of Mister C’s, in Selby took part in the 2015 National Fish & Chip Awards educational study trip to North East Scotland, courtesy of Seafood Scotland and The Scottish Seafood Partnership.
After being shortlisted in the Young Fish Frier of the Year category of the 2015 National Fish & Chip Awards, Miss Grimwood joined fellow finalists in visiting the port of Peterhead, Europe’s white fish capital.
As guests of Seafood Scotland and The Scottish Seafood Partnership, finalists learnt about the supply channels for haddock and cod from Scotland to the rest of the UK and further afield.
