SELBY’S planned new leisure centre is recruiting to fill 23 jobs ranging from duty managers to recreation assistants.
Selby Leisure Centre, on the site of the old Abbey Leisure Centre, is scheduled to open next spring and will include a health and fitness centre with up to 100 stations of fitness equipment, a class and exercise studio, a refurbished synthetic sports pitch, a sauna and steam room, two swimming pools and areas for judo, dance sessions, meetings and children’s activities.
General manager Paul Hirst said: “This is an exciting time for us as we start to see the new leisure centre taking shape. The scheme is creating 23 jobs, from duty managers and supervisors to recreation assistants; so if you’re looking for a new opportunity please get in touch.”
The centre will be on land owned by Selby District Council and will be managed by WLCT, a company specialising in leisure and culture centres.
