The exhibition will be a showcase of the talent and creativity of the Selby Camera Club over the last year and aimed to inspire others to take up the art of photography.

Access Selby is once again sponsoring the event, as part of an ongoing partnership with the club. The Council uses images from club members in its publications and online, to help showcase the very best of the Selby district.

Selby Camera Club has a long history beginning in 1887 just decades after photography was first invented.

Brian Hiorns, the current club president, said: “The exhibition is an annual highlight for all our members as they enjoy sharing their tips and knowledge to the visitors and are more than happy to answer any of your questions about their work.

“Changes to technology have helped our club become even better as more people than ever are able to access digital photography and so want to be a part of this wonderful day either as an artist or as a visitor."
