SELBY and Ainsty MP Nigel Adams has presented a Yorkshire-based brain tumour charity, Circle of Hope, with a cheque for £350.

The MP said that, like many people, he had lost friends and family to the illness and it was important that crucial research continued.

Founding members Jim and Gill Murphy from Cawood, Selby alongside Sarah Smith and Linda Wood were moved to take action having all either suffered the loss of, or witnessed first hand, the devastating effects upon the lives of, close family or friends diagnosed with this type of cancer.
