RESIDENTS in North Yorkshire are being warned about a rise in bogus callers and unauthorised collections.
Trading standards teams and licensing officers are now looking into leaflets asking for donations of clothes, shoes and other household items following a rise in the number of people logging calls about bogus clothing charity collections.
Callers can be checked by phoning the Charity Commission helpline on 0845 300 0218.
