All smiles as dentist raises charity grand

A MALTON dentist raised more than £1,000 by hosting a charity concert in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care and local hospice, St Catherine’s.

Dr Richard Marsden, principal dentist at The Red House Dental Practice in Victoria Road, organised the concert to mark his 20 year anniversary at the practice.

Held at The Market Place Bistro in the town, the concert showcased some of the best in local musical talent and entertainment.

Dr Marsden said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved for making the evening such a success, especially Tania at The Market Place Bistro and Scott from the local Dangleberries band.

“It was fantastic to be able to give something back to the local community while raising vital funds for two important charities.

“I’d also like to express my gratitude to all the local businesses, individuals, and Denplan, who donated prizes for the raffle which helped to swell the amount raised to more than £1,000.”
