Nominations needed for police honours

MEMBERS of the public are being asked to nominate police officers and police community support officers (PCSOs) for North Yorkshire’s Safer Neighbourhoods Awards 2012.
Nominations are being sought by North Yorkshire Police Authority from each of the six Safer Neighbourhood Command areas, including Ryedale and Scarborough.
Organisers say the nominees will be judged on personal skills, local initiatives to combat crime and their working relationships within their neighbourhoods.
To nominate local officers or PCSOs, download a form from www.nypa.gov.uk/sna or request a form by phoning 01765 641839 or the non-emergency phone number 101.
Nomination forms must be returned by Friday, May 18.
