A NUMBER of items were stolen and a CCTV system damaged during a burglary at Foxholes.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the burglary, which took place overnight between September 3 and 4.

A business premises on the edge of the village was targeted. The offender - or offenders - drove across a stubble field at the rear of the premises and then climbed over a fence to gain access.

Police said "a number of items" were stolen and the camera security system damaged.

Police said: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. In particular, we are appealing for information about any people or vehicles seen acting suspiciously."
