Driver 'fled scene' after crashing into parked vehicles
FIRE services had to make a car safe in the early hours of Sunday after it started leaking fuel.
Crews from Pickering fire station were called to the scene at Whitby Road, Pickering, just after 1am on Sunday morning.
They were called to reports of a "three vehicle road traffic collision", but on arrival found that the crash had involved one car - a Volkswagen - colliding with two parked vehicles.
The driver of the Volkswagen had fled the scene, they added.
Crews had to make one of the parked vehicles safe after it had started to leak fuel.
