FIRE services were called to two incidents in north Ryedale yesterday - which came in within two minutes of each other.
The first callout was at 1.32pm.
Fire crews from Kirkbymoorside and Pickering stations went to an address in Kirkbymoorside and extinguished a window frame which was on fire.
They said that the cause is believed to be accidental, and that the fire caused 50 per cent fire damage to the window.
Two minutes after that callout, at 1.34pm, came another - this time to a field fire near Helmsley.
Fire engines from Pickering, Easingwold and Thirsk attended and extinguished the fire to standing crops using a hose reel jet.
The cause is believed to be accidental - they believe it was started by a bird scarer.
