A MAN was tasered by police following an incident on the A64.
North Yorkshire Police said a 40-year-old man from Leeds was tasered and arrested by officers near Bilbrough Services at 12.50pm on Monday, after failing to stop while heading west in a black Volkswagen Passat.
A spokesman said officers "carried out a tactical stop on the vehicle", and "due to the man's agitated and unpredictable behaviour, they used taser to carry out a safe arrest".
The man remains in custody.
