PUPILS in the junior class of Gillamoor Primary School have picked the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) to receive the £342 raised during their sponsored daffy walk in Farndale.
Before the cheque presentation, a YAA helicopter pilot talked the children about how the organisation and outlined how £4.4 million was needed per year to keep the two helicopters on constant alert.
After lots of questions from the children, a cheque was presented to Kevin Hutchinson, the area’s Community Fundraiser.
During the sponsored daffy walk, as well as enjoying the display of daffodils, the children also learnt orienteering skills.
