A VAN which was stolen on Friday has turned up in a field in North Yorkshire.
Police were called to the farmer's field at Thornton Bridge near Helperby in Hambleton earlier today.
Sgt Paul Cording of North Yorkshire Police tweeted that the vehicle had been dumped and set alight overnight.
Turns out it was stolen on Friday from near #Boroughbridge Sadly for the owner there is little left of it to reclaim so it has been recovered for the insurance company to progress pic.twitter.com/qfF2fdY3cj

He added that the van, which had been stolen from near Boroughbridge, has been recovered by the insurance company.
