AUDIENCES at Pocklington Arts Centre (PAC) are in for a comedic treat this autumn when the venue welcomes two renowned comedians to its programme of live events.

Seann Walsh will be the first to kick start the season when he brings his stand-up show ‘After This One, I’m going Home’ to the PAC stage fresh from his US tour.

The Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and self-dubbed ‘Lie-in King’ Seann Walsh has become a familiar face on television, with numerous credits to his name including Channel 4’s ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’, Alan Carr’s ‘Chatty Man’, and ITV 2’s ‘Celebrity Juice’.

Seann made his acting debut starring in Comedy Central’s sitcom Big Bad World, followed by playing the lead role in BBC One’s Monks.

He also wrote and starred in his own Sky short for Sky Arts and he is now co-starring in Jack Dee’s brand-new sitcom Bad Move on ITV.

Seann has also appeared in ITV’s Tonight at the London Palladium, and Live at the Apollo on BBC 2, and for one night only Seann will grace the PAC stage once again on Wednesday, September 19.

A month later, on Friday, October 19, the venue will welcome Jeremy Hardy who is certainly no stranger to the small screen with TV credits including BBC2’s Mock the Week, Not Tonight with John Sergeant, and Back in the Day and Jack Dee’s Election Helpdesk; as well as BBC One’s Grumpy Old Men and QI.

Venue manager James Duffy said: “We’ve had some brilliantly talented and well known comedians perform live at PAC, so when we welcome Seann Walsh back in the autumn he will once again be following in the footsteps of the likes of John Bishop, Jenny Eclair, Greg Davies, Henning Wehn, and Rob Beckett.”

“Jeremy Hardy is such an experienced comedian, he is the perfect addition to our comedy line-up.

“Our live comedy has always proved to be incredibly popular, and there is a sense that PAC routinely punches above it weight when it comes to attracting some of the best comedians from the circuit, so we are very much looking forward to the autumn season of comedy that we have in store for audiences, and promise there is more to come.”

Tickets for Seann Walsh cost £15 each, and tickets for Jeremy Hardy cost £14 each, and are available from the Box Office on 01759 301547 or online at www.pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk
