Pickering Game & Country Fair & UK Tractor Show

The annual game and country fair is back for its eleventh year across the entire weekend from 9am-5pm.
Pickering Showground will be awash with a whole host of activities in two action-packed arenas.
Whether you are a serious game enthusiast who enjoys the thrill of the countryside or you are simply looking for a great day to spend in the sunshine with the family, there is something for everyone.
Be wowed by the K92000 dog display team and the Mounted Games Association of Great Britain whose riders will compete in a series of tough challenges against the clock.
There will also be clay pigeon shooting and a falconry display.
Family tickets are £20 and adult tickets cost £7.

Classic Car Rally, Hutton-le-Hole

A fantastic array of classic cars will invade Ryedale Folk Museum at Hutton-le-Hole this weekend. On Sunday from 10am-4pm visitors are encouraged to come along and enjoy the fun and enjoy looking at a range of wonderful vintage cars in mint condition.
Tickets are normal admission price which now last for a full year.

Exhibition of Bicycles, Pickering

Pickering’s Beck Isle Museum is staging a unique exhibition of bicycles, cycling accessories and cycling related photographs dating back to between 1925 and 1950. The cycles on display will include a Penny Farthing, some unusual two-man tricycles and a wide range of general bicycles.
If you’re having Tour de Yorkshire withdrawal symptoms then this exhibition is the perfect antidote and offers the opportunity to learn about the history of the bicycle. The museum is open on Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm with last entry at 4pm.

 Windows to the past, Malton

The annual Windows to the Past exhibition at Malton Museum has a theme of food preparation and kitchenware from the Roman era right through to the 1930s.
To mark the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta there will also be a section on the important role play by Eustace de Vescy, the Lord Manor of Malton. The two cinemas of Malton and Norton will have a small display, as will the trade of coopering, which was very important in the past.

Yorkshire Lavender Mint Weekend, Terrington

People are being encouraged to grow their own mint as part of a Yorkshire Lavender Weekend at Terrington. The Mint Weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, from 10am-5pm, will also give visitors the chance to learn about its history as well as its medicinal and culinary uses. There will be more than 35 varieties of mint for sale at the event. Admission is free.
