The North York Moors National Park is asking residents to submit their views on possible new sites for quarrying and waste management.
The consultations, along with North Yorkshire County Council and City of York Council, are part of work taking place to prepare a new local plan for minerals and waste across the three authorities. The consultation includes details of new sites under consideration, as well as updates on the original consultations which took place last spring.
County Councillor Gareth Dadd, executive member for planning services, said: “It is really important that as many people as possible get involved at these early stages and tell us what they think. The responses we receive will help us shape the future policy for making tough decisions on minerals and waste planning applications.”
The deadline for comments is March 13 and they can be submitted online at northyorks.gov.uk/mwconsult
Consultation documents can be viewed online or at North Yorkshire libraries.
