NORTH Yorkshire Police have recorded 12 videos in a bid to encourage people to take care at Christmas.
The annual festive safety campaign features different safety messages to help keep the public safe, with a new one released on the force’s website and its twitter and Facebook pages.
Topics include staying safe at home, on the roads, while out celebrating and while shopping online, domestic abuse, bogus callers, burglary and knowing your limits while out drinking. A new video will be released each day.
Chief Constable Dave Jones urged people to watch the videos and take the advice on board by visiting northyorkshire.police.uk/Christmas, following Twitter @NYorksPolice #TakeCareAtChristmas or finding them on Facebook.
The first video will be shown at a community engagement event in Selby Market Place today, where there will also be a drink-driving simulator and crime prevention advice.
