TWO loyal supports of Saint Catherine’s Hospice have hit the jackpot in the summer draw.

The top prizes have gone to two women who have supported Saint Catherine’s lottery almost since day one.

Their loyalty paid off in style with big wins in the summer draw which is also run by the lottery team.

The top prize of £3,000 went to a pensioner from Filey who has asked to remain anonymous.

“I’ve always supported the hospice because I think they do an absolutely wonderful job,” she said.

“I’ve never won anything in my life and now I’m looking forward to treating my family.”

The second prize went to Mrs Dorothy Bullamore, of Scarborough, who won £500. She has been a lottery member since the very first draw 16 years ago.

“I do give to other causes but for me the hospice always comes first,” she said. “A lot of people I know have needed Saint Catherine’s and it’s nice to give to a local charity when you know how the money is spent.”

Christine Craig, Lottery Coordinator, said they were delighted that the big prizes had gone to two winners who were such committed supporters of the hospice.

“We are so grateful to people like these two loyal players who continue to support the lottery,” she added. “But we’re always looking for new players to join them and help us raise vital funds for patient care.”
