A MAN has been arrested and released on bail following a break-in at a house in Scarborough.
The incident happened at about 8am on Sunday (27 July), when a thief broke into a house on Bedale Avenue through a conservatory window and was disturbed by the householder.
The thief was chased off the property and stole two jackets, a PlayStation, an iPod dock and a laptop.
Police officers are appealing to anyone who lives in the area and saw a man running from through the streets on Sunday morning, to contact them on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A man in his forties has been arrested in connection with the burglary and has been release on bail to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.
