Name change plea

WE ARE awaiting the reopening of the restored St Clement's Hall, which is due to take place by 2010.

However, I wonder whether the trustees would consider changing the name to Scarcroft Community Centre?

This would save confusion on getting it mixed up with St Clement's Church, as it has of late Dropping the St Clement's name would be appreciated by the leadership of the church at this time.

It would secure its name, with having the school and adjacent green named as Scarcroft.

Keith Chapman, St Benedict Road, Nunnery Lane, York.
