Advert answer to tunnel clean-up
WITH reference to the article re Graffiti on the walls of Marble Arch tunnel (Arch enemies, The Press, May 6), I believe I have the answer to this problem.
Walking down this tunnel has always reminded me of London Tube stations.
What is the difference? Adverts. These cover all the walls of the Underground. If an advertising agency was contacted to "lease" the space and erect panels all along each side this would cover the unsightly walls and brighten the area for those people who approach the National Railway Museum.
This alone would make the advertising space a good selling point.

Ugh, no thank you.
Adverts are even more unsightly than graffiti and slime. They are also insulting, condescending and insidious in their attempt to brainwash.

So then there would be lots of adverts covered in grafitti. That'd look good....
