A NEW tour is being launched to promote King Richard III’s historical, literary and archaeological connections.

The King Richard III Tour of England is a five-night, six-day tour that includes visits to York Minster, Yorkshire Museum and the Richard III Experience as well as William Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Bosworth Battlefield, Leicester Cathedral and King Richard III Visitor Centre in Leicester.

The tour, which will also include Blue Badge guided walking tours of Coventry and Leicester, and a medieval banquet, will be launched to travel trade delegates attending the UKinbound annual convention in Leicester this month.

It aims to tell the full story of King Richard III, from his literary and historical connections, through to his death, discovery and reinterment, and appeal to overseas inbound visitors.
