AN Eco-Active Day is being held at St Nicks Environment Centre in Rawdon Avenue, York, on Saturday, January 10.
Volunteers are being invited to help with conservation tasks at St Nick’s nature reserve, helping to clear beck side vegetation, scraping back top soil and removing any roots to prepare the area for planting water vole-friendly vegetation in the spring.
Lunch will be offered to participants.
Future Eco-Active Days will take place on the first Saturday of each month.
No booking is necessary for individuals. For further details, phone 01904 411821.
