NESTLÉ has launched a free Christmas memory pack which can help prompt happy memories among patients diagnosed with dementia.

The pack has been produced with advice from the UK based Alzheimer’s Society, which leads the fight against dementia in the UK.

It is currently being trialled by the Society in two support groups that run activities for people with dementia and their carers.

The Nestlé UK & Ireland archive has created a game of Snap! which includes some previously unseen Christmas images from the Nestlé confectionery archive.

People just need to cut around the cards and shuffle the deck for a Christmas-themed parlour game that will help prompt happy memories.

The Christmas Snap! game is part of a pack that includes posters, sweet wrappers and a Fruit Gums game.

"We're proud to be one of the first businesses to produce a pack this kind, and hope that historic images of our famous brands will prompt memories and conversations," said a spokeswoman.

People can download the archive materials for free, by going to http://www.nestle.co.uk/aboutus/history/reminiscence-pack.
