AN EXHIBITION on the future of the navigation lock at Elvington will be held on Tuesday.
The Environment Agency is hosting the event for people to find out what the future options are for the lock and sluices on the River Derwent, following closure of the guillotine lock gate in February.
That part of the lock has been taken out of use as the metal frame is old and unsafe.
A drop-in event to allow people to find out more will be held at Elvington Parish Hall between 4.30pm and 8pm on Tuesday, October 14.
