POLICE arrested a 30-year-old Middlesbrough man in connection with theft of fuel from a lorry in North Yorkshire.
The fuel was stolen from a lorry parked at Scotch Corner at about 12.30am on Friday, and the man was arrested a short time later.
A search of his home found a large quantity of diesel. He remains in police custody.
Anyone with information about the theft should phone Northallerton CID on 101.
