THIEVES have broken into a York village pharmacy and stole various amounts of prescription medicines.

The pharmacy, in York Street, Dunnington, was broken into just after midnight on Saturday, September 13, by burglars who forced two locks on the door.

Medicine stolen included Co-codamol, Naproxem (an anti-inflammator), Digoxin (a heart medication), Sinemet (for Parkinsons disease) and Giliclazide (a diabetic medication).
