A YORK community choir will sing at St Margaret Clitherow Church, Haxby, on Friday to help raise money for Dalit Children in India & Medical Aid for Palestinians.
Prima Vocal Ensemble will perform an “uplifting and powerful soul, funk & Motown programme,” said organisers.
The concert will also feature ZUT University Chamber Choir from Poland, performing sacred, folk and gospel music with an Eastern European flavour.
Supporting Dalit Children is a UK charity set up to help some of the poorest ‘untouchable’ communities in southern India. Tickets costing £6 can be bought on the door from 7pm.
