York’s CHOCOLATE Story has launched an exhibition celebrating the city's chocolate past, present and future.
Chocolate and the People of York of the original chocolate-making families and those they employed, and also celebrates the entrepreneurs who continue to keep chocolate’s heritage alive in York today.
At its peak, more than14,000 people worked in the chocolate industry in York, at firms including Rowntree’s, Terry’s and Craven’s.
The attraction in Kings Square has gathered real-life tales from hardworking employees with a collection of photographs to be displayed until October 23.
