THE Lord Mayor of York Cllr Ian Gillies faced opposition from York Minster Bowls Club in the annual Lord Mayor’s bowls match at the weekend.
The civic party were joined by councillors and friends to form a team for the annual contest at Clarence Gardens on Saturday.
Cllr Gillies said: “This is a great sporting contest at Clarence Gardens and the event is always great fun for all involved.”
