Holgate Windmill
VOLUNTEERS at Holgate Windmill are inviting people to visit next month to see the mill in operation at one of two open weekends.
Windy autumn weather will hopefully mean the windmill’s sails will turn in September and the latest delivery of grain can be milled into flour.
The open weekends will be held on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, 14; and Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, 28. Opening hours are 11a to 4pm and entrance costs £3 for adults and £1 for children aged 5-18. Parking is available on Acomb Road, more information can be seen at holgatewindmill.org
