POPPLETON Artists are holding their annual exhibition of their work over the Bank Holiday weekend.
More than 200 realistic and abstract artworks by established and up-and-coming local artists will be on sale for between £25 and £500.
Poppleton Artists Exhibition takes place in the Tithe Barn, a 450-year-old building that is one of the oldest and largest in Nether Poppleton.
A percentage of the exhibition profits will be donated to the maintenance of the barn. The annual exhibitions have raised over £12,000 since they began in 2000.
The exhibition runs from 10 am to 6 pm on August 23 and 24 and 10 am to 4.30 pm on August 25.
Exhibition chairman June Hardy will open proceedings a preview evening, featuring wine, canapés and live music from a local flautist, at 6:30 pm on August 22. Tickets cost £5 and can be bought by contacting June on (01904) 797217.
