YORK’S newest care home, Ebor Court, has opened its doors for the first time.

The brand-new, purpose- built home, which is in Nether Poppleton, was visited by over 50 sector workers as well as the Lord Mayor of York, Cllr Ian Gillies, and the Sheriff of York, John Kenny.

In a presentation given by Ideal Care Homes Managing Director, Mark Greaves, guests were given an insight into Ideal Care Homes and Ebor Court. Tours of the three- storey home also took place.

Chairman of Ideal Care Homes, Lawrence Tomlinson, said: “We are delighted to be able to show this fantastic care home off to care-sector workers and we are thrilled it will be opening to the public soon. The care team were able to show why Ebor Court will be a great place to live. We are looking forward to being part of the community.”

Ebor Court provides a home for 64 people.
