THE Arts Barge Riverside Festival in York will return to Tower Gardens for its second year, from August 15 to 17.

Events include music, theatre, dance, arts and crafts for the whole family, as well as food from Tariq and Johnny’s kitchen and a bar serving local ales.

Among the performances will be The Really Short Fringe, Young Talented and Beautiful - the best of York’s young singer songwriters, Gypsy Jazz, a Rhumba night, kids’ theatre The Revenge of Mr Trout, The Sofa Sessions courtesy of Sam Griffiths and Dan Webster.

In the lead up to the festival the Arts Barge is also putting on creative workshops for children with help from Arty Farty Kids, Adam Ekin and scenic artist Matt Grace.

There will also be chance to make music and theatre with Christian Topman and Phoebe Gunn, and to have a go at Zumba and Capoeira.
