HUNDREDS of people attended the annual Dunnington Fayre and Family Chill Out Afternoon.

The event, which was held this year for the first time at Dunnington Playing Fields, was twice the size of previous events, with more than 40 stalls over two days.

The event included displays from beagles, chainsaw artists, a dog show and other have-a-go events.

The chill out afternoon on Sunday, July 27 raised money in memory of Oscar Hughes, with music from Tom Silcox, Pelico, Lion Papers, Lisa B, Taz Barnes, Black Hawkes and Nocebo.

Jenny Lewis, one of the organisers, said the event was “amazing”, helped by the weather, and plans were already under way for the 2015 Fayre.

Plans are also being made for a two-course Sunday dinner on September 21, and a bonfire and fireworks display on Saturday, November 8.
