A HUNT to discover hidden treasure around the city will take place tomorrow.

The Lord Mayor of York’s Treasure Hunt event will see entrants collect a sheet of clues from the Guildhall from 3pm to 4.30pm and search around the city centre for some hidden gems.

The competition is an opportunity to test local knowledge of the city centre and walk around solving the clues. Completed forms must be dropped off at the Guildhall later in the day.

The Rt Hon The Lord Mayor of York, Cllr Ian Gillies said: “This promises to be a fun family orientated event, suitable for all ages, for those who know York already, and for those who want to test their local knowledge. “The event also looks to raise some money for two great charities.

“I am looking forward to speaking to all the participants in the Guildhall where refreshments will be available.”
