Last year's Great North Run
EXTRA early morning train services have been organised by East Coast to help people get to the Bupa Great North Run.
Three extra services will run on Sunday, September 7, with 57,000 runners expected to take part in the race.
The services include the 07.25 Darlington to Newcastle, arriving at 08.03, the 05.55 Leeds to Newcastle, which calls at York and arrives in Newcastle at 08.10, and the 07.10 York to Newcastle, which arrives at 08.23.
