Five trophies for top chorus group
AN Acomb barbershop chorus group is celebrating winning not one but five trophies at a recent competition.
Main Street Sound Ladies Barbershop Chorus picked up the awards at the Cleethorpes and Grimsby Music Festival with their quartets and a vocal ensemble.
Several new members of the group were taking part in a competition with the chorus for the first time after joining the group following the Learn to Sing course held in February.
Main Street Sound will hold their summer concert at the New Earswick Folk Hall on Saturday, July 12 at 7.30pm.
